Say goodbye to water spots, fingerprints, and dirt on just about any surface on your boat with Shurhold’s Serious Shine

Serious Shine is a water-less detailer that will remove those omnipresent water spots from your stainless, vinyl, fiberglass, glass, aluminum and isinglass.  And the best part is it won’t leave a residue because it’s neither wax nor oil based.  Whatever this stuff is, it repels water and has anti-static and anti-fingerprint properties so even a three-year-old with sticky fingers aboard is likely to cause only limited damage.  You can even use it on varnished wood although I’ve not tried it as a furniture polish yet.

Washing a boat is essential but hard water spots form mineral deposits on your gelcoat and stainless and that leaves pockmarks and rust deposits so you’re not done cleaning until it’s all shiny smooth.  Serious Shine is a one-step cleaner that comes in a 14 ounce aerosol can so its’ easy to use – spray on and wipe off.  The can retails for $18 and supposedly this stuff repels dust and has UV inhibitors too although only time will tell how well my Lexan will hold up with this.

But be careful, this stuff is slick so don’t put it where you want to stay upright.
